Hurstpierpoint, UK
First stop, Hurspierpoint UK
It’s pretty amazing to think that in just last week, was saying goodbye to my parents during a beautiful Italian meal with my parents in the North End of Boston, a magical area with which I have an unhealthy obsession for. It could be the mama's homemade meatballs, or ungodly sized Mike’s Pastry Cannoli’s. Could be both. Anyways, the point is, I slept maybe a total of two hours on an overnight flight from Boston to Gatwick Airport. My Aunty Emily, one of the kindest people I know has offered to pick me up from the airport. I’ll be staying at my aunts house in between shifts traveling from home to Spain to England to Thailand within the next week with my two little cousins Edward and Honor. I often wish that they did not live so far away as I love nothing more than waking up to my cousins giggling voices and playful joy every morning.
My uncle and Aunt live in a beautiful village known as Hurstpierpoint. Because I spent most of my morning fighting jetlag with a nap, I will spare you all the details of how adorable my little cousins are and their dance recital videos, dinner at a local pub and small adventure alone and without cell reception roaming around this adorable little town and post the pictures I captured during this time. This little town is packed with cozy shops field and schools filled with children busy parents whom are entirely unaware of the charm this town exudes. Walking through this town can make you feel warm in the middle. I find it so intoxicating that I have a difficult time having tear myself away. I have always loved the content and pleasant nature of these countryside English towns. The people, calming and hospitable, the energy cozy and content. England, although rainy and what the British would consider dreary at times can be extremely Charmful. The houses are often paired with beautifully colored doors. There is something so magical about them. They make me feel cozy and welcomed every time I come here, England, my second home I have been lucky to call it my second home. If you haven’t met this kind of charm in England, hopefully you will get a feel for it within my photos.
Next stop: Madrid
